You know, as funny as this prank may seem, for someone who is allergic to pepper it isn’t. I hate to be a ball buster but anaphylactic shock is not funny for anyone, even onlookers because watching someone die is not funny.

“I hate to be a ball buster … but I’ll just be a ball buster” If people could die from eating pepper, they should check before. I know I would…

“They should check before” – yeah they probably did, because they really need to make sure it’s salt and not pepper, of course. So they verify that it is in fact a salt shaker, and quite reasonably expect not to get pepper – which I think is what Jake was aiming at.

That said, anyone with a life-threatening condition has a self-responsibility to mitigate the triggers of that condition, and seeing (and smelling) pepper come out of the salt shaker should alert them at least to the possibility of contamination if not the prank. At which point they are merely inconvenienced by the loss of a meal rather than anaphylactic shock.

Were you born 45 or something? Do you not look at your food as you season it to make sure you didn’t accidentally pour too much?

Fuck you, man. You don’t have to police others on their actions.

Quase thinks people should check before using the salt shaker? I think people should feel they can trust their friends not to alter the contents. Anyone who would pull this prank needs to know ahead of time that they’re not putting their friend in jeopardy. And anyone who would pull this prank seriously needs to grow up.

Guys I hate fun. Anyone who likes fun is mentally inferior to me.

i suggest that if you are “allergic” to pepper (of which i have never heard of such a thing – and YES, i AM a doctor) you probably shouldn’t be easting in restaurant. as pepper is in everything and very easily blown across tables (sneeze anyone?).

However i agree this is not really a prank,it’s bloody annoying.

I think you are mistaking (as most fussy people do) allergy with “dislike”. the number of people i hear that are allergic to this and that and it is nothing to do with anaphylaxis, just being fussy and getting there way or that their parents misinformed them when children.

Or you could just replace all of the salt with white pepper.
